Winter Warmer Campaign – Youth Mental Health

Our Winter Warmer Campaign is a fundraiser to enable us to support young people in Norfolk with their mental health this winter. We have reached our £1000 target! We are still welcoming any additional donations.

The prevalence of mental health difficulties in Norfolk is estimated to be 1 in 8 young people aged 5-19 years old (Office of National Statistics, 2018). This is around 18,000 young people in Norfolk. The NHS is not able to support all these young people, so the more non-profit organisations like Cup-O-T can do the better!

We are aiming to raise £1000. With this money we will be holding 4 workshops before Christmas for 14-18 year olds to plan how they will look after their mental health this winter. In January we are aiming to launch nature based Occupational Therapy groups, starting in South Norfolk. Around 17% of young people are in low income families in Norfolk. We aim to raise enough money that we can offer free and subsidised places for those young people.
