Occupational therapists promote success in the workplace by improving the fit between the person, the job tasks, and the environment. We work with employers and employees to adapt or modify the environment or task, facilitate successful return to work after illness or injury, and help prevent illness or injury to promote participation, health, productivity, and satisfaction in the workplace. Occupational therapists also provide services related to ergonomics, accessibility, the aging workforce, and workplace health and wellness issues.

Our experienced Occupational Therapists are able to provide team days bespoke to the needs of your organisation.
We specialise in bringing teams together who might be experiencing difficulties in culture and dynamics. We are able to provide team days that are conflict resolution focused. enabling your team to work through difficulties and begin to work as a team, increasing productivity and coherence.
An Occupational Therapists will complete a workplace assessment to determine how the following difficulties are impacting upon an individual’s ability to complete their work based duties. Recommendations on how to improve an individual’s workplace in order to enhance their productivity will be provided. If you suspect your difficulties or injuries are work based or you suspect one of your employees is having difficulties, then a workplace assessment may need to be conducted.
An individual may have difficulties in the following areas:
- Joint and back pain
- Persistent migraines
- Difficulties complete work based duties
- Presenting stressed
- Low mood and anxiety
- Irritability and unable to work with colleagues
- Difficulties organising self
- Loss of balance
- A specific condition – physical or psychological
- Memory loss
The workplace assessment can be administered in any working environment. The Occupational Therapist will will discuss with the individual and employer the outcome of the assessment and will explain in further detail why an individual may be experiencing difficulties. If required a report detailing the findings of the assessment can be provided. This will contain a broad analysis of how the workplace is impacting on the individual’s abilities to complete their work based duties.
Treatment following a workplace assessment may include one or more of the following:
- Aids and adaptations recommendations to workstation or role
- 1:1 therapy
- Group therapy
Return to Work – Allied Health Professions Health and Work Report
The return to work following a period of sickness absence can be a daunting time for both the employer and employee. Our Occupational Therapists are able to work with the employee to create a plan for returning to work and any adjustments that may need to be made to facilitate this.
An Allied Health Professions Health and Work Report will be produced to provide the employer with guidance on how to enable a successful return to work.
Workplace Therapy and Support Services
We are able to provide one to one or group therapy sessions for your staff.
One to one therapy can be provided to keep your staff well in the workplace and reduce absenteeism and presenteeism.
Group therapy sessions can take place if there is an incident that has impacted a proportion of your staff workforce. We are able to offer group EMDR sessions for traumatic events – for example bereavement in the workforce, exposure to risk incidents (violence, COVID-19, near misses)
Our CEO and lead Occupational Therapist, Catherine Gray, is available for corporate speaking events. She has presented at national and local conferences, universities and community events on a number of topics.
