In 2024, at Cup-O-T we were thrilled to launch our WildVibes Youth Group, giving young people aged 11–16 a unique opportunity to reconnect with the great outdoors in our beautiful woodland space.

Why Nature?
Being in nature isn’t just fun—it’s proven to boost mental health, reduce stress, and increase focus and creativity. Spending time outdoors helps young people feel more grounded and connected, providing a perfect environment to build confidence and resilience while forming meaningful friendships.
Each monthly session offers hands-on activities that inspire and energise, with some of the topics being:
- Fire-building and campfire cooking: Develop essential bushcraft skills.
- Woodland shelter building: Work together to create natural shelters.
- Nature-inspired art: Craft beautiful pieces using foraged materials.
- Wildlife conservation: Learn to care for local ecosystems.
Building Skills and Exploring Nature
Our Youth Worker Asim, who is co-delivering the program, said:
“Our mission is to cater this outdoor program to a variety of young people with different interests.
Do you like learning practical skills such as starting a campfire? Great, join us!
Or, are you someone who prefers creativity? Fantastic, we have a variety of those workshops too.
How about learning more about the living creatures we share the great outdoors with? Brilliant, we’ve got you covered!
Each one of us is unique and with different interests, and we hope that different topics will encourage young people to sign up for the workshops they are passionate about.
After familiarising themselves with our outdoor area and the facilitators, we hope that our young people will want to then trial other workshops, too, immersing themselves in new experiences that build confidence and encourage teamwork.”



Connecting with Nature for Well-being

Nature offers powerful benefits for mental and physical health, reducing stress, improving mood, and providing a sense of calm.
By engaging with the natural world through hands-on activities, participants not only learn valuable skills but also foster a deeper appreciation for the environment and its role in their overall well-being.
With only 10 spaces per group, these 2-hour sessions provide an intimate and supportive setting for exploration and growth. Led by our experienced Youth Worker and expert guest leaders, WildVibes is all about creating meaningful experiences that empower young people.
A Year of Adventure
In 2024, WildVibes took our group on an incredible journey, from mastering firecraft to crafting festive clay ornaments. Our woodland space became a place of laughter, learning, and discovery.
