Cup-O-T Campfire Community
We had a vision of creating a community around the campfire. Where young people, families and peers can get together, not just for therapy, but as a safe social space. Connecting with nature, each others and with ourselves.
Since moving to the woodland in October 2022 we have been running a small number of individual therapy sessions, therapy groups and family workshops. It was tricky over the winter, with the weather and lots of mud! Part of our vision is to have a sheltered food preparation and workshop area.
Thanks to the funding we can now do this! Here was the moment it was announced on TV:
We are all still very stunned and incredibly thankful to everyone who has been involved with Cup-O-T and the Campfire Community project, and everyone who shared and voted – which made this possible!
What’s next…?
We now need to work with the young people, families and community to find a suitable shelter for the woodland workshop area; and as a team put a programme together to support as many people as we can over the next year.
